Au sortir d’un rêve tenace, il est difficile d’être à la réalité tout de suite. Pour le dormeur alors réveillé, les sons, les formes continuent à jouer un spectacle : où se trouve-t-il et comment savoir ?
Le film repose sur ces moments forts et courts. II s’agit d’impressions. Si la peur se dessine, il s’agit d’une peur sans objet : ce qui est donné à voir, c’est l’avoir peur et non le faire peur.
Waking up from a heavy dream, it is difficult to become aware of reality right away. For even though the dreamer has awakened, sounds and images continue to play in his mind: where is he and how can he find out? The film is based upon these strong but fleeting moments. It is a question of impressions. If fear takes shape, it is a fear without an object: what the film shows is the act of being afraid, not the object that gives rise to fear.
