Color Phase Adjustments— un film de Pete McPartlan /

Il n’y a pas encore de synopsis français pour ce film

An image of coloured pens shifts between picture qualities and colour schemes/ evoking past formats and qualities. Punctuated by the edit.

All though the phasing fm soundtrack was created specifically for the piece the illusion of interdependence between audio and image is created purely through editing the two together, the audio is not synchronised or derived from the image or visa-versa.
The film was made whilst in residence at the Experimental TV Center, Owego, NY in the NTSC zone (thus the US spelling of ‘color’. The hue control at the ETC had no 0 point, no position was the correct position - It needed to be adjusted with every new configuration of the setup, each re-routing of the video matrix.
