Ce film explore l'idée selon laquelle, en dehors de l'ordre social patriarcal de l'Homme, la Femme "n'existe pas et ne symbolise rien" (Lacan, 1972).

The Siren is a life size projection, filmed entirely underwater, exploring the nature of the feminine mystique within the screen and the seemingly active male gaze. It explores the notion that, cast out from the patriarchal social order of Man, Woman “does not exist and symbolises nothing” (Lacan, 1972).
