4% des Américains croient aux reptiliens, théorie conspirationniste imaginant que des extraterrestres se cachent dans les hautes sphères de la société et nous dirigent. «Camera Obscura» est une réaction à l’obscurantisme cultivé par les vidéos d’extrémistes religieux et politiques, jouant sur les peurs et caressant les egos. Cet obscurantisme qui se répand en occident et qui pervertit le besoin de remise en question du monde. Le film suit donc une femme sombrant dans ce flot absurde d’images trouvées sur le net, supposées preuves de l’existence des reptiliens; elle ira jusqu’à douter de sa propre nature.

4% of Americans believe in reptilians, a conspiracy theory which argues aliens hide among the high ranks of power and control us. “Camera Obscura” is a reaction to the obscurantism and ignorance perpetuated through complacent political and religious extremist videos which play off of the fears of a nation. This obscurantism has been spreading across the western world, sabotaging our need to rethink the world we live in. The film follows a woman as she spirals down an absurd stream of images found on the internet - all alleged pieces of evidence proving the existence of reptilians - leading her to question her very nature.
