À la fin de sa vie,
avant de se coucher une dernière fois dans la neige,
Robert Walser, écrivain suisse
à la marge du milieu littéraire,
compila au crayon sur des cartons récupérés
ce qu'on a appelé ses microgrammes :
de courts textes rédigés de façon microscopique
dans une langue qu'on crut longtemps indéchiffrable.

Ce film, réalisé au téléphone portable,
est un biopic expérimental de Walser,
un hommage aux microgrammes,
une ode au cinéma pauvre
et à la minuscule poésie des choses.

At the end of his life,
before lying down for a last time in the snow,
Robert Walser, a Swiss writer
at the margins of the literary scene of his day,
compiled, on various scraps of cardboard,
what has been called his microgrammes :
shorts texts written in a microscopic way
in a langage that was for a long time
believed to be indecipherable.

This film, shot with an old mobile phone,
is an experimental biopic of Walser,
a tribute to micrograms,
an ode to poor cinema
