D’après Lewis Carroll, l’infraction d’Alice dans la chambre des Époux Arnolfini (peints par Van Eyck). La projection interroge le dispositif scopique mis en place par Van Eyck. Le spectateur est placé dans l’envers de la toile et contemple Alice, piégée à son tour dans l’envers du miroir.

Conditions de projection : 1 projecteur 16mm à 24 ips, 2 projecteurs de diapo type carousel avec fondu enchaîné manuel. Image totale idéale de 360cm de base, sur mur blanc au départ d’un sol uni et clair (projections sur le sol également). Une table et une tablette de projection. Recul entre 6 et 10 m. Obscurité totale.

Inspired by Lewis Carroll the projection shows Alice breaking into the Arnolfini couple's bedroom (itself a painting by Van Eyck). The projection tests the scoping device set up by Van Eyck. The spectator located behind the canvas watches Alice in her turn trapped in the eye of the mirror.

One 16 mm projector running at 24 images per second together with two slide projectors (the carousel type) equipped with a manual fade-in, fade-out system. An ideal total image with a 4 meter base, projected resting on a plain, clear floor (there are projections onto the floor too). All the pictures are superimposed on one screeen only. A 8 to 12 meter distance. Total darkness.
