Karly Stark is an experimental filmmaker, curator, and educator based in Oakland, CA. She holds an MFA in Cinema from San Francisco State University and a BA in Film Studies from UC Berkeley. She currently works as the Program Director of The Great Wall of Oakland and a Lecturer in the School of Cinema at SFSU. Her creative work focuses on experimental modes of cinema, incorporating aspects of poetry, lyrical, essay, and diary film forms that explore human experience and memory through a queer lens.
