Neritan Zinxhiria

Neritan Zinxhiria est né en Avril 1989 à Tirana, en Albanie. Au cours de l’hiver 1990 sa famille immigre en Grèce. En 2008, il s’est vu décerné le prix du Meilleur Jeune Réalisateur au International Short Film Festival dans la catégorie « Drame » pour son premier court-métrage, « The Best Bride » (15’). Son deuxième film, « Chamomile » (15’) a remporté le prix Golden Horseman au Dresden International Short Film Festival 2013, et s’est par la suite vu sélectionné dans différents festivals internationaux puis primé à 19 reprises. En Grèce, le film a remporté six prix dont le Prix du Meilleur Court-métrage au Athens International Film Festival et le Prix du Meilleur Court-métrage de l’Année attribué par la Hellenic Film Academy. Son troisième court-métrage « The Time of a Young Man About To Kill » (19’), qui a remporté un prix dans la ville natale d’Audi, à Ingolstadt, a été montré en avant-première à Busan, en Corée du Nord. Son dernier court-métrage « A Country of Two», hommage expérimental à ses parents, a été projeté en avant-première au Encounters Film Festival de Bristol. Zinxhiria prépare actuellement son cinquième court-métrage en Allemagne et son premier long-métrage en Grèce.

Neritan Zinxhiria was born in April 1989 in Tirana, Albania. In the winter of 1990, his family immigrated to Greece. In 2008, he was awarded as the Best Newcoming Director in the International Short Film Festival in Drama for his first short film “The Best Bride” (15’). His second film “Chamomile” (15’) won the Golden Horseman at the 2013 Dresden International Short Film Festival, followed by other prestigious worldwide selections and 19 awards. In Greece, the film has won six awards including the Best Short Film Award in International Short Film Festival in Drama, the Best Short Film Award in Athens International Film Festival and the Best Short Film of the Year Award given by the Hellenic Film Academy. His third short “The Time of a Young Man About To Kill” (19’), a prize winner in Audi’s hometown Ingolstadt, premiered in Busan, South Korea. His last short film “A Country of Two”, an experimental homage to his parents, had its British premiere in Encounters Film Festivals in Bristol. He is currently preparing his fifth short film in Germany and his first feature film in Greece.
