Memosium— un film de Louis Dupont /

Memosium, un Nosfératu moderne et halluciné, s’articule comme un concerto en trois mouvements. La caméra, le corps et l’espace y ont chacun leur tempo mais ces trois mouvements sont joués simultanément. Le récit semble amnésique de ses plans et du personnage. Les évènements se réitèrent infiniment. On est dans un temps de répétition. Ainsi, tout semble recommencer accentué par la disposition circulaire de l’espace. Prisonnier de sa mémoire. Par ailleurs, l’accélération et la multiplication géométrique du mouvement, la complexité des activités du personnage, leur découpage mathématique et le réarrangement infini du corps donnent au spectateur une nouvelle conscience du temps, sans limites imparties. Seule la fuite ( la mort ?) peut permettre d’échapper à ce temps carcéral.

Memosium is composed like a concerto in three movements. Camera, body and space have their own tempo but all are played simultaneously. From its shots and characters, the story seems amnesic. Events reiterate themselves infinitely. We are in a time of repetition. Thus, all seems to start again, stressed by the circular arrangement of space. Prisoner of its own memory. Moreover, the acceleration and geometrical multiplication of movement, the complexity of the character’s activities, their mathematical cutting and the infinite re-arrangement of the body give the spectator a new awareness of time, without set limits.
