Frozen Flight— un film de Bruce Wood /

Frozen Flight est un collage abstrait de textures, de surfaces et de lignes. Graduellement, des lignes graphiques et des surfaces fluides sont ajoutées à l’interaction des textures et des lignes calligraphiques. Un amas de graphismes oppressants apparaît — restant fixe par contraste avec le mouvement rapide de ce qui a précédé. Ceci et d’autres lignes graphiques créent une tension avec des surfaces fluides qui vont se développant. La confrontation entre la surface et la ligne continue, chaque surface devenant plus puissante que la précédente.

'Bruce Wood in the few short years he has been working in film, has produced an amazing body of work. He is practically alone in a genre (black and white silent abstractions) which has its antecedents in the likes of Eggeling, Richter and Leger.
What I find most interesting in his work, amid the concern with textures, shape and space, is his ability to produce works of even tension.
