Ian Wiblin studied graphic design and film at the London College of Communication. In addition to his film work, he has had international exhibitions and residencies as a photographer, including as Kettle’s Yard Resident Artist at the University of Cambridge and a solo exhibition at Sprengel Museum, Hanover. He has contributed to several books and publications, writing on photography considered in relation to cinema, architecture and performance. He is currently a lecturer in film and photography at the University of South Wales.
Wiblin has been making films together with Anthea Kennedy since 2000. Their work has been shown at international festivals and galleries including Rotterdam, EMAF, Thessaloniki, Athens Ohio, Tate Modern, Whitechapel Gallery London, Indielisboa, Docpoint Helsinki and Flagey Brussels. Their work usually takes the form of experimental documentary or essay films, focusing on place, history and memory.
