Gheith Al-Amine is a video artist, born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1973. He completed a BA and Maitrise in Video Art and Cinema at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). He collaborated (still pictures/Video) with Paola Yacoub and Michel Lassere on the project "OV" ( Venice Biennale 2003). Worked with Akram Zaatari as assistant-director on a documentary (unfinished yet). Main actor in Akram Zaatari\'s "Nature Morte"(2008). Four videos in his credit: 1. "Once Upon a Sidewalk"2009(Video Works -Ashkal Alwan- 2009) / Berlinale 2010/Cinemed(Montpellier)2010...). 2. "T.S.T.L." 2011 (Berlinale 2012/ Oberhausen 2012/ MIFF -Melbourne International Film Festival- In competition,2012/ Chicago International Film Festival -in competition- 2012/ ALFILM -Berlin- 2012...). 3. "King Lost His Tooth" 2012 (Berlinale 2012/ Oberhausen 2012/ Chicago International Film Festival –in competition- 2012/ ALFILM 2012). 4. "The Sheikh Imam Project" 2014 (Berlinale 2014/ ALFILM-Berlin 2014). He wrote numerous specialized articles(Art critic) for several Arab cultural supplements like Zawaya, Nawafez and Al Akhbar on contemporary Art in general and Video-Art in specific. He produces and hosts a Jazz program,“Carrefour de Jazz” at the National Lebanese Radio (Radio Liban /Radio France International -R.F.I.- 96.2 FM). He\'s currently putting the final touches on a new video installation project, and is elaborating an experimental documentary (video/photo-animation) about complicity, musical instruments and improvisation.
